I’ve been so overwhelmed with your love for our dog food and treats, so I wanted to give you a run-down of what we offer and the favourites among my dogs!
Creating our dog food and treats, it was essential to use natural and nutritious ingredients. My passion and goals were to create products I felt confident feeding my own dogs, so you can rest assured all our products have my seal of approval.
Avonmeadow Wet and Dry Food
Let’s start with the dog food! The personal favourite among the Avonmeadow clan is the Chicken and Sweet Potato. This works exceptionally well for the spaniels, packed with enough protein and goodness to keep up with their busy bodies! This is our most popular flavour, and it's available in four varieties, ensuring your dog has the right nutrition from puppyhood to adulthood. We offer a standard kibble, small bite, large breed formulation, and a special puppy kibble enabling a smooth transition from puppy to adult food.
All our premium dog food is grain-free, addressing the increasing level of grain allergies in dogs. We also provide a variety of meat choices because we know how fussy our four-legged friends can be. For dogs with sensitive tummies or skin issues, I recommend our Salmon, Trout, Sweet Potato, and Asparagus option. Salmon is well-known for its benefits in these areas.
For my Labradors, I choose to feed our Meaty Mix, as they don't need as much protein as the spaniels. Labradors are known for their tendency to gain weight easily, so our Meaty Mix or Chicken with Rice options are perfect for lower activity dogs or those who don’t need as much help maintaining their weight.
During the shooting season, when my dogs are most active, I supplement their food with our wet food for an extra boost. Wet food is also ideal for picky eaters or dogs that don’t drink a lot of water, thanks to its high moisture content and palatability. Many of our customers blend our kibble and wet food to give their dogs the best of both worlds.
Natural Dog Treats
When creating our natural dog treats, I ensured there was a great range for both enrichment and training!
For training, I use our Chicken Bites. They’re perfect for quickly rewarding correct behaviours. I love using them for recall training—it’s fun to see their surprised faces when there’s a Chicken Bite waiting for them!
Office dog Lola loves an antler! She has one in her bed in the office, which keeps her occupied while we’re busy replying to your messages and packing all your wonderful orders. Antlers are a fantastic natural option to reduce boredom and improve dental health. Anything that reduces smelly breath is a winner in my book!
Every Friday, my dogs get a Fri-Yay treat—after all, we all love to spoil our pets! Their favourite is our dried chicken breasts this is because they are so meaty.
My final top tip is Rabbit Ears! Our Rabbit Ears are puppy-friendly and make a great, tasty treat to distract them from chewing your shoes. They keep their brains occupied and can soothe teething puppies. Also, another fun fact is that the hair on the ears acts as a natural wormer. Whilst being digested any parasites cling to the hair and pass through the system.
